SinnerNet Chat - For Emerald and mIRC users

Looking to get away from it all, but still want to be able to chat with the Sinners, maybe get a little help when needed? Maybe from work you can only use a webchat interface with a text-based chatroom, but you can still hang out in our chatroom. It's very quiet, but it's been running for over 15 years, and it's not likely to go away anytime soon.

If you have mirc, or Chatzilla, or any irc software installed, you can hit the server irc.sinseer.com at any time, and join in the #sinseer room.


IF YOU USE EMERALD VIEWER, HERE IS HOW TO JOIN THE SINNERNET CHAT WHILE *IN* WORLD!

1) Click the Communicate button on the bottom of your screen.
2) Click on Contacts if you're not already on that tab, then click on IRC over to the right a bit.
3) Click NEW

A window pops up, for Tag you can call us SinnerNet, for Nick, it will try to give you a random name based off your own. You can choose another name here if you'd like.

If you have a password, enter it below, but if you're brand new, you won't have a password, so leave it blank.

Under where it says "Server" enter: irc.sinseer.com
In the box next to that it displays: 8888  - CHANGE TO:  6667
Leave the Server Password field blank
Change Channel to: #sinseer

If you'd like the chatroom to start up whenever you start Secondlife, click the checkbox. IRC is just text, and it takes almost nothing to run it. You can run it on a cellphone, so this is a huge time-saver at no cost to you!

After you're done, click "Save"

Now, all you need to do in the future is to double click the line titled "SinnerNet" that is now listed under the IRC tab, and you can join in our chat room anytime!

SecondLife Beta 2,0 is out!

IF YOU CAN READ THIS FROM SECONDLIFE, YOU'RE USING THE NEW SECONDLIFE BETA CLIENTS!!!!

If not, shame on you. Go at least try it out, it's a major change.

Now, not everyones going to like the interface, but here's what you're going to like: Webpages on a Prim. And not just webpages. Flash, Mp3s, Videos, all that on a prim, in-world, and useable.

Things will change, just from this one feature. Gone are the days when you'll need to waste 40 primts on a board to display your news for your group, your contests, your shoutcast board... all will be able to be used, or at least optimized, via the new webpage on a prim idea.

And just to be cool, the lindens have also given us a new skin layer, for tattoos. Yay! And avatar creators will love the ability to make parts of your avatar invisible without invisiprims! Yay!
